Bio:

Laurie has been a member of SCBWI for many years. She previously served as Regional Advisor for the Southwest Texas Chapter. As The Book Fairy, she performs as a storyteller and children's entertainer helping spread the magic of books. She has 3 children and lives in San Antonio with her husband, her kids, one fish, one snake, a dog, a cat and whatever bugs find their way into the house. The most fun she has is when she is reading with children and they make her start laughing because they are having so much fun.

Her biggest dream is to find a publisher for her original story about how The Book Fairy found her magic. (Sorry, she is NOT the Tooth Fairy, she failed that test in Fairy School! And no, she can't grant you 3 wishes. Her magic only works on books and people reading them!)
