Bio:

Deby Fredericks, who writes for children as Lucy Ford, has been a writer all her life. She viewed it as just a fun hobby until the late 1990s; her first professional sale was in 2000.

"Lucy" has had short stories and poetry published in magazines such as Boys' Life, Babybug, Ladybug, and Spider. She has short stories in two anthologies from Blooming Tree Press.

Deby has three novels out with Dragon Moon Press. They are The Magister's Mask (2004), Too Many Princes (2007) and The Necromancer's Bones (2009).

Fredericks works as a crossing guard/noon aide at Longfellow Elementary in Spokane, WA. Having daily contact with so many different kids is a constant source of inspiration.
