Bio:
American Suzanne Kamata has lived in Japan since 1987. Her short stories for children and young adults have appeared in Ladybug, Cicada, Skipping Stones and the anthologies Summer Shorts (Blooming Tree Press)and Tomo: Friendship Through Fiction - An Anthology of Japan Teen Stories (Stone Bridge Press). Her novella "Pilgrimage" was awarded the 2009 SCBWI Magazine Merit Award for fiction. Her YA novel HOME BASE was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2012 Leapfrog Fiction Contest, children's division. Her debut YA novel, GADGET GIRL, is forthcoming from GemmaMedia in 2013.
