Bio:

Meg McKinlay is a children's writer and poet based in Fremantle, Western Australia. She has published children's fiction ranging from picture books to middle grade novels, as well as poetry for adults. Her 2012 titles are a picture book, Ten Tiny Things, published by Fremantle Press and a chapter book, Wreck the Halls, published by Walker Books Australia. Three of her titles will be published in the US in 2012 by Candlewick Press: No Bears! (picture book), Duck for a Day (chapter book) and Below (middle-grade).

Meg has a PhD in Japanese Literature and is an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Western Australia.
