Bio:
I began my life as a writer in 4th grade, with the delightful short story "The Time-Magic Belt," a time-travel adventure involving a magic belt, Romans, and a kangaroo (because that was one of the spelling words I had to use in the story). I don't remember much about the story, except that it had the brilliantly original ending (or so I thought) of the main character waking in bed from a dream— only to reach up and feel the crown of leaves he'd won in the story. OOO! Surprise! (Hey, I was 9.)
Today I am a professional writer with work in advertising, marketing and Christian curriculum materials, as well as feature articles and book reviews. My published books include a ghostwritten novel for the Christian fiction market, a collection of short contemporary dramas (ACTS FOR GOD, Meriwether Publishing, 2005), and a ghostwritten inspirational book to be published in 2010.
My first novel, THE WEAVER OF ATREIA, is a YA fantasy about a reluctant soldier who must foil an assassin to prevent a war. I am working on my second novel, THE KNUCKERHOLE, a MG historical fantasy about a Southern girl, the Civil War, and a dragon.
