Bio:

I have had my art business 'Stunned Emu Designs' for 30 years, and have 2 retail outlets in Fremantle, Western Australia. I began as a potter, but now as well as the children's books, I also produce stationery items and paintings. I am most well known for my quirky 'Emu with Attitude', but also do other Australian animals, and some sea and landscapes. I wrote, illustrated and self-published my first Children's book 'Where's Stripey?' in 2005. It won the WA Premier's Book Awards, Children's Section, and to date has sold just under 60,000 copies. The second 'Stripey' book 'Scrambled egg' was shortlisted for the same awards, and the third, 'Invisible me' has just been released. Stripey will star in his own Australia wide theatre production by Garry Ginivan Productions late 2012.
