Zoraida Rivera

Bio:

Zoraida writes poetry, short stories,articles and novels. She finds it interesting writing in so many different genres, but also difficult.

She´s published her poems and short stories in textbooks for elementary school with Ediciones SM. The magazine Iguana, which joined the Cricket Magazine Group recently, has also published her work. Her articles have been published in the newspaper, El Nuevo Día and in magazines. Her poetry appears in four anthologies compiled by June Cotner.

Zoraida is working on a fantasy book for kids 9 to 12. She is seeking a publisher for another fantasy novel. Her work on a self-help book is almost done.

Although this writer has been published mostly in Spanish,her poetry in English has been published in anthologies. Her first novel, yet unpublished was written in English.

At this moment getting a book published is her greatest goal.

Zoraida has been a counselor for more than twenty years. She is currently employed in the high school setting. She has taken two courses with the Institute of Children´s Literature.
