Bio:
I was born in Washington,D.C., but grew up mostly in Germany.
( so I have the German and American citizenship). When I was
8 Years old, I wrote several times into my diary" When I am a grown up,I want to be a children's books writer". My first children's book
was just published in November. I am so lucky, that it is selling very well. So I was on a tight schedule of book signings and public readings." Malchen und die vergessene Zeit" was published in German. I hope it works out, that
The English version named "Hannahs Fantastic Journey into the Past" of the book gets published in this February. Then I could bring it to the SCBWI-symposium, still smelling like fresh ink. The book has great illustrations by Bernhard Oberdieck, a PAL-member at SCBWI:
I just wrote him an e-mail saying:
That You illustrated my first children's book in such an outstanding way, makes my heart leap more than a million-dollar-prize could. He illustrated more than 200 children's books. He welcomed me at our workmeeting in Munich with 16 ready pencil sketches. I was really impressed to see how he brought my story to life with his work. Please take also a look at his profile and website. Last but not least:
I am happily married and we have three kids( from 5 to 12) and live in Heidelberg, Germany.
