Bio:

Backyard Banzai Chicken Warriors Book One: Mark of a Feathered Warrior was shortlisted in the 2011 Scholastic Asia Book Awards.

What inspired Kimi to write was when her son asked, "Mommy, write a book I can read." He had just been diagnosed as borderline dyslexic and many of the books out there were either too easy, boring or the words were "too tight!"

One of her greatest joys is watching her sons play with their own backyard chickens.

Kimi holds a B.A in English from Columbia College and an interior design degree from Parsons School of Design.
