Bio:

I am an illustrator based in Athens, Greece.

My love for illustration comes from my passion for visually decoding the written word. I am driven by the challenge of solving a visual problem and my background in industrial design has helped me immensely in that.

I mainly illustrate books for children as well as the occasional editorial piece. I also write stories for children. I would describe my work as humorous with painterly and three dimensional qualities. I normally work in digital media but should the mood strike me, I get my hands dirty with gouache, acrylics, pencils, pastels and ink.

I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and love to surf the waves of the Mediterranean. While I work, I listen to classical radio, talk radio or music from the 30’s and the 40’s. Sometimes however, complete silence does the trick.
