Bio:

I grew up in South Louisiana where I spent many childhood days building palmetto forts in the woods, battling mosquitos, and eating gumbo. I married my high school sweetheart 21 years ago, and we now call Columbia, Tennessee home. We are co-founders of Agathos Classical School, where five of our seven children attend. Inspiration abounds in my life and little story starters follow me around everyday. The only thing more prevalent in my house than children is books. Outside of writing and all things family, I enjoy marathon training, biking, swimming, and kayaking.

I have long been inspired to write stories for children, but am just beginning the formal writing journey. I am grateful for such an invaluable resource as SCBWI, especially the Midsouth region.
