Bio:

I am from a background of childrenswear design. After getting my BS in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati in 1992, I moved to New York City. I worked in the childrenswear industry for ten years designing garments and artwork/textiles. In 2002, I started my own textile design studio and became very interested in writing and illustrating children's books. Creating cute characters inspired the urge to tell stories about them.

I have written and illustrated two board books for infants/toddlers/pre-k that have not yet been published. I am also working on several other books, two picture books and two short chapter books for second to fifth grade.

Recently I attended my third SCBWI Conference, Wild, Wild Midwest- in Ft. Wayne, IN. It was an
enlightening experience. I am very inspired. Better get to work now!
