Marilyne retired from nineteen years of school nursing in Texas and Alaska. While living a sabbatical year in the Ukraine she had the experience of taking a cat to church. This resulted in her first picture book, Sonia, the Church Cat. The second book in this series, How Cora Lost Her Horn, developed while visiting an orphanage in Ukraine. She received a plaster cow with one horn as a going away gift from the orphanage. Her third Sonia book is now ready for publication. She is currently working on her first chapter book.
Marilyne is available for school, group or church readings or visits. Her program is a minimum of 30 minutes and is educational as well as entertaining.
