Bio:

My husband, Ted, and I are co-authors of over twenty nonfiction books including twelve for children.Our ideas for these are inspired by our interests: exploring U.S. western history (the Native Americans and the explorers and settlers who followed), backpacking and hiking, skiing, and sailing by lighthouses. Our book, Jedediah Smith, was nominated for a Western Writers of America 2005 Spur Award. For our entry in SCBWI Works-in-Progress 2009, we received a Letter of Merit, one of thirteen awarded out of 400 plus entries.
I have had six articles published in Highlights for Children. Ted has had articles published in The Keepers Log, a quartely published by the U.S. Lighthouse Society and in Forest History.
