Bio:

I am the author and/or illustrator of more than sixty books, beginning with TASTE THE RAINDROPS published by Greenwillow Books in 1983. I have worked with Clarion, Dutton, Candlewick, Harcourt and Houghton Mifflin and been around long enough that I occasionally hear from someone now grown up, who remembers a particular book of mine as a favorite from childhood. Always a special thrill.

I have two books to be released in 2011. PEACEFUL PIECES, my third poetry collection illustrated with original quilts, is being published by Henry Holt and Tricycle will publish I AM A TYRANNOSAURUS which is the second book that I have illustrated with digital art.

I have also illustrated eight Curious George books in the style of H.A.Rey.

New challenges are always fun. My current passion is do works which promote peace, ecology and help children realize their full potential.
