Bio:
Peggy Tibbetts has been a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators) since 1977. Her articles have been published in their bulletin.
In May 2007, her novel manuscript “Letters to Juniper” won the YA Fiction.com Middle Grade Novel Contest.
For five years, Tibbetts was Managing Editor and Columnist for the Writing World newsletter. Her column, “Advice from a Caterpillar,” her children’s author interviews, and the newsletters are published at Writing-World.com. She also reviews books for Midwest Book Review and Book Ideas.com.
Tibbetts participated in a panel discussion about book promotion and marketing at the Rocky Mountain Chapter of SCBWI in March 2001. She presented her talk and ebook, “How to Spread the Word-of-Mouse” about book promotion and marketing on the Internet at the RMC-SCBWI in September 2001. She was also Children’s Writing Resource Editor for Inkspot.
As a Contributing Editor for "Children's Magic Window" magazine, her articles, book reviews, games, and “Fun Facts” were featured regularly. Her columns, stories, and articles have also been published in several publications.
She was Associate Producer at Upper Midwest Films. Her educational film titles include: Wisconsin Fur Posts, Swedes in Wisconsin, From Furs to Fins, and Schoolcraft in Minnesota.
Contests judged: Independent Ebook Awards; Rainy Day Corner Publishing Short Story Contest; Washington-Centerville Public Library’s Annual Erma Bombeck Writing Competition.
