Jane Wattenberg is the author/illustrator of many eye-popping photo-collage books for children. The NY Times squawked, “Yowza!” for her hip-hop adaptation of HENNY-PENNY. Her NEVER CRY WOOF! is howls of fun. Her accordion novel for babies, MRS. MUSTARD’s BABY FACES is celebrating its 20th year in print. Hopping into bookstores this season, is Jane’s photo-illustrated version of THE DUCK AND THE KANGAROO, written by 19th C writer and painter, Mr. Edward Lear. This is a love song between two unlikely friends, lush and roo-mantic.
Jane lives with her husband Sam on a hill in San Francisco where she raised three sons and now raises chickens, goats, ducks and bees. The honey harvested is as sweet as sweet can be and the egg yolks the color of the sun. her lastest venture adventure?....her own publishing house, Mrs. Mustard's Books....Read with Relish! The first book published under this imprint is the 2012 Baby Board Book, MRS. MUSTARD's BEASTLY BABIES, the 21st C, updated jazzy version of this classic for happy, busy babies!
