Bio:

I'm a third-generation author and artist. I've written and illustrated twenty-one children's books, and illustrated more than sixty children's books for other authors. My books have received many awards and honors, including: The National Book Award, Nominee; The Koret Jewish Book Award; The Sydney Taylor Honor Book Award; Best Books of the Year, The New York Times; Best Books of the Year, American Library Association; Best Books of the Year, School Library Journal; Best Books of the Year, Publisher’s Weekly; and Kirkus Reviews Editor’s Choice.
