Bio:

Born in Arkansas, Texas resident since 1977. BA degree major in English, minor History and Education. MA in Library Science. Twenty-five years as elementary libarian. I write nonfiction, mostly biographies, many of them about early Texas individuals, with Enslow publishing my books on C.S. Lewis and Joan Lowery Nixon, as well as a 6-book series for beginning readers on famous Americans. Science books include one on ALS and a 6-book plant series. My newest book is NO YEAR OF THE CAT, a Chinese folktale explaining why there is no cat in the Chinese zodiac (Sleeping Bear Press, 2013).

In addition to having done numerous school visits that focus on writing or on Texas History, I have made presentations to adult groups as well.
