Bio:

I am the author of seven published books, five of them for young people. I teach children's literature in the Education Department at Washington and Jefferson College. My husband Richard, also an author, has taught at the college for nearly forty years, so it is a big part of our lives. During our January term, we take students to London for a theater in performance course. This is a privilege we have enjoyed for 25 years. I have been regional advisor to Western Pennsylvania since 1991, a position I have truly enjoyed because SCBWI is so supportive and we have terrific and helpful members here in WPA.

My husband and I have three children, all grown. We enjoy travel, gardening, entertaining friends and family, as well as attending theater, opera, dance and musical performances when time allows.
