Bio:

I started drawing at the age of two, going on to graduate from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida. Before I became a freelancer, I lived in Phoenix Arizona and worked in a hospital graphics department designing patient and employee booklets, multimedia shows and coloring books for the pediatrics department as well as developing a swim safety mascot with various promotional materials. I later moved to Chicago where I took classes at the Chicago Art Institute in scientific illustration. From there, I went into toy designing, working with Hallmark Cards Inc. in Kansas City, MO.

I now live in Simpsonville South Carolina, outside of Greenville, with my two dogs named Harper and Bisbee and a calico cat named Remi. My interest are wildlife, retro toys and collecting German nutcrackers besides reading.

My trade books I have illustrated are, " Deep In the Desert", "Count Down to Fall", "The Best Nest", "Who Needs That Nose?", "If I Had A Tail", "Black and White" and "Creatures At My Feet".

I work mainly in gouache, watercolors, pen and ink, color pencils and airbrush.
