Bio:
Karen B. Kurtz has written two Pearson books, successor to Scott Foresman, and more than 500 articles. She has sold to Highlights, Cobblestone, Child Life, Daisy, Scholastic, On the Line, all of the leading doll-collecting magazines, and many other markets.
She founded, manufactured, and marketed The Kurtz Kollection, the premier line of greeting cards and stationery featuring the images of precious dolls, to customers worldwide. Karen's biography is listed in Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women, among many others. She won the prestigious 2010 Coleman Scholarship for the Research of Antique Dolls from the United Federation of Doll Clubs, Kansas City. With a master's degree from Indiana University, she has worked as a writer, editor, publisher, and consultant.
Karen is continuing to document true stories of Civil War dolls and developing children's book manuscripts.
