Dori Hillestad Butler is the author of more than 20 books for children, including The Buddy Files series, The Truth About Truman School; Yes, I Know the Monkey Man;, Do You Know the Monkey Man; Sliding Into Home; the Tank Talbott books; My Grandpa had a Stroke; My Mom's Having a Baby, Whodunit: How the Police Solve Crimes and miscellaneous ABC books. She's also been a ghostwriter for the Sweet Valley Twins series and the Boxcar Children series. She enjoys reading, hiking, biking, playing her mandolin, and therapy dog work with her black golden retriever, Mouse. She lives in Coralville, Iowa with her husband and son.
