Virginia Loewen

Bio:

As an elementary school teacher and reading specialist, Virginia assisted in developing a language arts skills continuum and criterion referenced tests, a word classification system, and a reading at home program for the State College Area School District, State College, Pa. After retirement she was an elementary language arts curriculum reviewer for Christian Light Education, Harrisonburg, Va. Published works include The Best Book for Terry Lee for beginning readers, three nonfiction articles in Highlights for Children magazine, and two books of sermons for children: Planting Seeds of Faith and Growing Seeds of Faith. She is a member of Pennwriters, Nittany Valley Writers Network and two critique groups. She has been a presenter at several writers' workshops and enjoys sharing her love of reading and writing with children.
