Arthur A. Levine

Arthur A. Levine is the accomplished editor and author of award-winning books for young people. He has worked as an editor at Dial, Putnam’s, and Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers. He is currently the Vice President at Scholastic and publisher of his own imprint, Arthur A. Levine Books. Levine has edited many successful books for children including When She Was Good by Norma Fox Mazer;A Hive For The Honeybee by Soinbhe Lally; and two Caldecott winning books, Peggy Rathmann's Officer Buckle and Gloria, and Emily McCully's Mirette on the High Wire. Levine is perhaps most recognized as the American Editor of the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Levine credits his success as an editor to his unique first-hand knowledge of the writing process. He has authored picture books such as, All The Lights in the Night, Bono and Nonno, The Boardwalk Princess, and Pearl Moscowitz's Last Stand.
