Esther Hershenhorn

Esther Hershenhorn is an author, writing teacher, writing coach, and SCBWI Regional Advisor for Illinois. A former elementary school teacher, Hershenshorn now writes picture books, middle grade fiction, and educational materials. Her books include the picture books There Goes Lowell's Party!, Chicken Soup By Heart and Fancy That, as well as the middle grade novel The Confe$$ion$ And $ecret$ of Howard J. Fingerhut. Esther coaches writers of all ages to help them tell their stories. She currently teaches Writing for Children at Chicago's Newberry Library, Ragdale, and the University of Chicago's Writer's Studio.
