Linda Sue Park
writes novels and picture books for young people, poetry and fiction for old people. Her novel A Single Shard
won the 2002 Newbery Medal. She believes this most days but is sometimes convinced it's the world's longest and most detailed dream. Ms. Park was born and raised in Illinois, went to college in California, grad school in Ireland and England; her former lives include ESL teacher and food journalist. She now lives in Rochester, NY, where her favorite things are her family, reading, movies, reading, friends, eating, cooking, food, restaurants, dinner parties, and books.
