Leveled Readers/Early Chapter Books:Learn how to target audiences of young readers using engaging language, topics and formats. Expect to complete writing exercises and leave with greater understanding and effective writing tools for leveled readers. Presented by Bonnie Bader and Natalie Lescroart of Penguin Group (USA).
Novel:Focus on how to make your novel more audience-oriented: What hooks readers? What makes them excited to turn the page? What makes them read till the end? We'll look at the difference between suspense and tension and how to use both. Bring scenes from a work in progress to revise using the techniques discussed. Presented by multi-talented author, Dorian Cirrone and über-enthusiastic agent, Marietta Zacker.
