Of late, publicists, teachers, librarians, parents and the like are clamoring for a strange creature called the Teacher Guide.
Why? What is this thing that has the Gatekeepers all a goggle? And, while we’re at it, what’s the difference between an Academic Guide, a Discussion Guide, and an Activity Guide, anyway?
Well, folks, come to this workshop and find out all about it!
In the first part of this class, Debbie Gonzales will discuss key aspects the various types of Book Guides in a hands-on interactive manner. During the second half, attendees will engage in an arts & crafty workshop where they will make Book Guides based on their own published work or work-in-progress.
This workshop is suitable for all genres, all levels of writers, and all subject matter. Come one, come all with scissors, tape, and glue sticks in hand. Together we’ll wrap our heads around the anatomy of the all-too-important creature known as the Teacher Guide. Registration opens February 18, 2013.
