Carole Calladine, MSSA, LISW-S is in the second half of life. She writes out of innate fascination about relationships, life stages, and choices. As a gifted family life educator and workshop leader, she enjoys sharing and learning with others. Her master’s degree in social service administration is from Case Western Reserve University and her undergraduate sociology degree is from the State University of Iowa.
Her interest in writing has produced three books Raising Siblings…Raising Brother and Sisters without Raising the Roof (Delacorte & in trade paperback, Winston Press), on family harmony. One Terrific Year: Supporting Your Kids Through the Ups and Downs of Their Year (Winston Press) on the annual, repetitive themes of childhood. Second Story Woman (Bird Dog Publishing, Inc) on needed midlife changes triggered by a diagnosis of diabetes. For seven years, she wrote You and Your Teen-Ager for the Sunday edition of the Plain Dealer. And she was the guest blogger for one year for Diabetes Sisters.
Carole is the Director of Senior Services for the Rocky River Senior Center. She became a Soul Collage® facilitator in 2011 combining her love of Jungian psychology and mining for personal insight through images and words. Carole belongs to three writer groups for camaraderie, critiques, and courage. Carole is on the executive board for the Northern Ohio Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators where she serves as the Photography Coordinator.
Carole resides in Rocky River, Ohio with her husband, Andrew and their cat, Hank.
