General Information

SCBWI Oregon is a regional chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). When you join SCBWI, you automatically become a member in the region where you live. You may identify yourself with a region you are closer to if you prefer--simply contact the main office. Of course, you may attend any region's events as a member.

SCBWI Oregon publishes the bimonthly newletter called The NewsWorthy, which offers feature articles, interviews, information about local events, publishing tidbits,  good news from our members, and more. You'll find it in under the Regional News tab.

We also send out a monthly report from the Co-Regional Advisors--it's called Cloudy with a Chance of Ideas and will automatically appear in your scbwi.org inbox and be emailed to you, unless you have opted out of mailings. (Please keep your email address updated on this website, or we won't be able to contact you. The system also saves a copy to your message inbox on this site.) In addition, we save copies of this monthly report on the Regional News page here.

SCBWI Oregon offers the Spring Conference on the third Friday-Saturday in May. Check out calendar for other events.

We have a website at www.scbwior.com devoted to our Oregon and southern Washington SCBWI members. We provide links to SCBWI member webpages. This is a free service for SCBWI Members in Oregon and Southern Washington.

Questions? Please contact either of us directly via our emails below. FYI: If you use the email system associated with this website, it disables your return address. Thank you!
