> In conjunction with the Sendak exhibition, From Pen to Publisher, we have
> organized a day-long course about the making of a picture book. This course
> is offered in collaboration with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and
> Illustrators and is appropriate for experts and novices alike. Children’s
> book author and illustrator, Gene Barretta, will be the key note speaker.
> Mr. Barretta is the author of a large number of books for children,
> including Zoola Palooza (2011), Dear Deer (2010), and Now and Ben (2009).
> The day will also include talks by Mr. Barretta’s editor and designer from
> Henry Holt and Company.
