Meeting Agenda
10:00 - 11:00 am News, Speaker
11:00 am - 12:00 pm Open Critique Groups
Open Critique Groups
Our chapter offers open critique groups to writers and illustrators attending meetings. Whenever we have a free Saturday morning chapter meeting, we’ll offer open critique groups during the second hour (11 am - 12 pm).
To participate in open critique groups, bring up to 5 pages of critique-ready work (4 copies) to share. In accordance with ScBWI critique guidelines, another critiquer will read your pages aloud, giving you the opportunity to listen to your prose or verse in action. Bring fiction, nonfiction, illustration, poetry, synopses, query letters, or any children's literature work on which you'd like to get feedback.
