CALLING ALL ILLUSTRATORS!
SCBWI’s California North/Central region announces the
3rd Annual Art Contest for our 2013 Spring Spirit conference logo!
Contest rules:
1. Art should reflect our spring spirit theme and SCBWI, exemplified in the 2012 logo, created by Diane Peruzzi (pictured below).
2. Illustrator must be a member of SCBWI. *Preference will be given to CA North/Central members although you don’t have to be a member of the region to submit an entry.
Submission details:
1. Digital submissions only.
2. A print ready file (jpg, 300dpi, measuring 1.75-2" high x 8-8.5" wide--think across the top of a standard sheet of paper- like a letterhead) should be emailed to
scbwicanorthcentral@gmail.com.
3. Subject Line: SpSp2013 Logo Contest Entry.
4. In the body of the email, please include your name, phone number, email, web site if available, and snail mail address.
Submission deadline:
Must be received by Thursday, November 1, 2012
Winner will be announced:
The contest winner will be announced on our SCBWI regional web site on Thursday, November 8, 2012.
The winner will be our guest at the SCBWI Holiday Mixer (Thursday, December 6, 6:30-8:30 pm, in Davis, CA) featuring speaker, Gennifer Choldenko. Attendance is optional but winner will be asked to provide framed (or matted) art submission for display.
The winner will also receive:
1. Free dinner with conference speakers on Friday April 5th, the night before our annual Spring Spirit conference on April 6th, 2013.
2. Free Spring Spirit 2013 portfolio critique
3. Winning logo will be used in all conference communication materials, including thank you notes and follow-ups to editors and speakers.
