Please join us in welcoming YA author Cynthia Leitich Smith, who will briefly update readers on her new releases, FERAL NIGHTS (Book One in the Feral series) and ETERNAL: ZACHARY'S STORY, a graphic novel illustrated by Ming Doyle (Tantalize series). She will then open a discussion on writing fantasy and series, writing across age divisions, the ever-changing YA market, web platforms and promotion, craft and career reinvention, the writing community, and taking ownership of your success. Joining her for this part of the evening will be Madison’s own E.M. Kokie, author of PERSONAL EFFECTS (Candlewick 2012). So bring your questions, please. We’ll end with refreshments and giveaways.
