If you're from (or visiting) the Ottawa area you're invited to meet for lunch
on Friday, March 1, for SCBWI Canada East's second-ever Ottawa Schmooze. We'll
meet at 1:00 pm upstairs at the Foolish Chicken, 79 Holland Ave.,
613-321-4715. We'll talk writing, illustrating, and publishing; form new
connections and refresh existing ones; eat; and have a good time.
To facilitate introductions and conversation, we'll also make time for a brief
show-and-tell. Each person will be given 2 minutes to talk about (and show off)
recent triumphs or ongoing projects.
Because we need to give the restaurant a headcount, RSVPs are required.

We'd love to get the word out to the broader Ottawa writers' community, so please
feel free to invite non-SCBWI members. (Just make sure they notify us of their
plans to attend!)
Note that most of the parking on Holland is limited to one hour, but there is
two-hour metered parking on Spencer Street, a bit more than a block north of
the restaurant. There is also public paid parking in and around Holland Cross.
