We are excited to announce that art director, Strawberrie Donnelly, of Little Tiger Press, will facilitate this truly collaborative masterclass for both picture book writers and illustrators. Strawberrie will be joined by an Ellie Farmer, picture book editor from Little Tiger Press.
As part of this wonderful opportunity, Little Tiger Press will be giving a closed brief only for the attendees and will be given on the day of the workshop.
Submitted picture book texts will be randomly allocated to illustrators who will bring that text to life. Illustrators will submit character sheets and two spreads in response to the picture book text. A writer and an illustrator winner will be chosen by them and all feedback will be given in writing as well as covered generally in the masterclass.
A great chance to get the inside story on what a publisher is looking for!
Preparation work is required for this workshop. Writers and illustrators have separate deadlines. More information on workshop and the creative energy needed before and after the masterclass will be covered in more detail soon!
