SCBWI-BI IS ON THE UP! This is a landmark year for SCBWI British Isles - not only is it our tenth anniversary but many of our members are breaking through with book deals, agent signings, prizes and good news all around! We are going to celebrate!

Our conference keynotes are Marcus Sedgwick, whose novel Revolver was shortlisted for the Carnegie this year, and award-winning illustrator Gary Blythe, beloved for illustrating the magical picture book The Whales' Song.

There will be workshops on everything from plotting to character development. We will be offering a limited number of one-on-one reviews - authors, show your manuscripts to editors; illustrators, sign up for a portfolio review with an art director, and new this year: sign up to get professional feedback on your website! And for those who are published or about to be, come along to our new PULSE events, aimed at helping you survive the new realities of today's children's book market. And on the FRINGE there is a critique meet, an open portfolio exhibition and exciting new competitions.
