Program of the meeting:
A talk with a publisher (in Hebrew)
We will meet Orly Levi, publisher of Orion publishing, who will talk about current trends in children literature:
* How is children literature affected by digital books?
* Book sales – distribution, marketing, special sales and how they affect book buyers and writers?
* Orly will also share with us her new project of independent writers' association,
who aims at finding new and rewarding ways for marketing and distribution.
Forming Critique Groups (a talk in English)
We would like to form Critique Groups on our scbwi chapter, as suggested by our member Pamela Moritz.
We are thinking about 3 groups: One for English writers, one for Hebrew writers and one for illustrators.
On the meeting we will discuss the idea – what are the advantages of becoming a member in a critique group and how can it be done.
We encourage you to think a little about this topic before the meeting.
Activity summary and goals for the new year:
We will talk about the activities we had during 2012
and think together about ideas for new activities for 2013 which will promote our goals.
Please bring with you some of your products (books and more) to show us.
Guests (non-members) are invited too.
