The authors of fantasy, science-fiction, historical fiction, paranormal romance, and even some contemporary stories need convincing worlds—not just for set
ting, but for rich characters and believable plot points. We’ll explore how to create and people the universe of your story for young readers, including discussion of industry expectations related to age categories, genres, and market segments. We’ll also practice with tools that can help you unearth and flesh out the submerged reality your story needs to bring authenticity to your fiction.
