Crit-Nic in the Park
Hi there,
If you live in or are visiting the Vancouver area at the end of July, then please come meet with us at our third annual Crit-Nic in the Park.
A Crit-Nic is part picnic, part critique meeting, so it's an opportunity to meet/network with fellow children's writers and illustrators in a fun location, eat together, and to share whatever you're working on with others.
We'll be meeting at the Fountain Plaza at Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver. QE Park is located at the top of Little Mountain, which is in between 33rd Avenue and Main Street on the eastern side and 33rd Avenue and Cambie Street on the western side.
The Fountain Plaza is in between the upper parking lot (sorry, it's Pay Parking) and the wonderful Bloedel Conservatory.
We'll be meeting there at Noon and staying until maybe 4:00 pm.
Everyone is welcome, both members and non-members, both writers and illustrators. Bring whatever picture book manuscript or chapter from a novel that you're working on. Or bring your portfolio to share with others.
This event is of course weather dependent, but the outlook seems great right now!
Looking forward to meeting new people and catching up with familiar ones.
Come and enjoy the day with us!
Best,
Ken
