About SCBWI Korea
Both accomplished and aspiring writers and illustrators of children's books living in the Republic of Korea now have the opportunity to become members of the largest children's writing organization in the world.
The SCBWI Korea regional chapter was launched in January 2009 and provides a much-needed opportunity for professional support to members living in Korea who write, illustrate or share an interest in children's literature.
The Korea chapter serves those living in south Korea with events taking place mainly in Seoul.
Because we are an international chapter far away from our American publishers, agents, authors and editors, the Korea chapter welcomes any publishing professionals visiting Korea to contact us. Whenever possible, we plan meet-ups, group dinners or workshops featuring any visiting guests to our country. If you are planning a visit to the Republic of Korea, we hope that you will contact us before or during your stay!

The SCBWI Korea YouTube Channel contains a compilation of videos featuring interviews with successful and famous children's book authors, authors reading their own books, writing tips from industry professionals, illustrators demonstrating their techniques, and even a look behind the scenes at a printing press -- all in one place.
Members also have access to our online writers’ community via our Yahoo listserv (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scbwikorea/). Our Yahoo group offers members a place to discuss their accomplishments, bring up questions and share information about local events of interest to others. We also post information about chapter events and offer writing and illustrating tips of interest to our members.
