Can we play Twisted Wish again?
« on: May 09, 2006, 04:27 PM »
Jeff started the best writing game a couple of years ago. I was thinking about it today.  Can we play a new round? I would have bumped the old link, but it's seven pages long. Here is the thread:

http://www.verlakay.com/boards/index.php?topic=1667.0

So, any takers?

I'll start:

I wish I didn't have to go to the dentist next week.

You don't have to go to the dentist because all your teeth have fallen out.  You'll be living on baby food for the rest of your life.

I wish my kitchen were already clean.

Your kitchen has been completly cleaned... out by thieves.  They also cleaned out your living room and bedrooms.  They took every thing, including the appliances and the light bulbs.

I wish I will get 8 solid hours of sleep tonight

You got eight solid hours of sleep plus a thousand years and when you wake up your refrigerator will argue with you about the value of cleaning its interior once a week and your microwave will be full of spyware.

I wish I could shed five pounds.

Yay! You have lost five pounds...in your head.

I wish I had a real office in my house.

There is a real office in your house, but unfortunately it's run by the CIA and you don't have clearance so you have to leave.

I wish I could style my hair as well as my hair stylist does.

You can. And you'd better start stylin' because your hair grows an inch every minute.

You don't have 30 year old gold carpet, you have 60 year old grey "carpet" that matches the grey "drapes" on your head.

I wish I knew how to draw.

Viola! Your bed is now a manure pile. And you are now a pig.

I wish my nephew would come over and visit.

Your nephew comes over and visits, and brings with him his new collection of rabid vampire bats.

I wish I had a fantabulous agent who raked in big bucks and movie deals for me whilst providing brilliant input.

You do have a fantabulous agent who rakes in big bucks and movie deals for you while providing brilliant input.  Too bad he was paying publishers to buy your work and is now serving time for payola.  Now the feds are knocking down your door b/c he fingered you as the mastermind behind the scam.

I wish I never had to work my full-time job again.

You never have to work your full-time again.  You have to work somebody else's full time job.

You have your dream house. In Antarctica.

I wish I could find shoes to go with the outfit I'm wearing to a wedding next weekend.

You found the perfect shoes for the wedding you are attending next weekend. Unfortunately, they were a size too small and you sprained your ankle while trying them on.

I wish I had 28 hours in every day. (Just 4 more. I'm not greedy!)

You got your extra four hours, unfortunately, during those hours you have to act like a chicken.

I wish I could sell my house.

You sell your house but you need to move everything out by the end of the day and live in your car for a month.

I wish my husband did not have to take so many business trips each month.

Ta-da, your husband is home all the time now.  He was offered a job working from home as the official tri-state skirt-sizer for the cheer and dance squads of the region's universities.  Now buxom cheer and dance babes are at your house day in and day out getting sized for their teeny, weeny skirts.

I wish I had more energy.

You do have more energy because your doctor just gave you a little pink pill that he discovered while traveling through the dense jungles of the Amazon rain forest.  The natives call it "pink pill of magical rejuvenation" and it also holds the key to creating the most fabulous literary works imaginable.

I wish I never had to do laundry again.

You don't have to do laundry again as your house has become a storage unit for Target's new line of fashions.

I wish I didn't have writer's block.

The pink pill actually has a side effect that I forgot to mention.  Black curly hair begins to grow from your neck and arms and there is a possibility that you may grow horns.

Shazaam! You can manage your time better. Which is good, because you now have 16 children.

I wish I were 10 years younger

You sell a book this year. Unfortunately, the publishing company's owner goes nutsy cocoa puffs and decides to make the entire new line in miniatures. The only way to read your book is with a microscope and tweezers.

I wish there was a bike path near my house.

There's a bike path near your house -in fact, it encircles your yard. And the Frat-Boyz trike-racing team from every college in the state is using it all summer for practice. You can hear the cheers and smell the beers all day, and all night, long.

I wish my kids were already dressed and ready for school.

Walah! Kids are dressed. But your son's wearing a dress and your daughter- a UPS man's uniform.

I wish I could get another dog.
