Farming out the book trailer
« on: March 31, 2008, 06:00 AM »
The Organization thread is about the last place I ever planned on posting, but I proved to be fairly crafty this week. So I'd been wanting to do a book trailer for my YA, but knew I would never get it done. So I contacted an English teacher at my kids' high school. She said it will be perfect for an upcoming project, so we are going to make it into a contest. I'll go in to a screening of all the finished trailers and pick the winner. (Oh, and I'll also bring the class pizza or something.) But I'm certain all those 15 year olds will come up with some great ideas.

I think this is an awesome idea! The kids are going to have a ball doing this. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Me too! I"ve heard snippets from my kids about various plans. ( Like the largest offensive tackle in school playing the part of the psycho dad. Hmmm.)  I haven't seen them yet, but I will definitely post the favorite. I think we're going to have a premiere at the book launch party.
