So, Vonnegut was  channeling James Joyce when he wrote Slaughterhouse Five?

Sam, James Joyce and Kurt Vonnegut - ya know they just wrote the same sort of stuff all the time.  So maybe Vonnegut found a lost ms of Joyce and

Le R has added her stamp of delight to this distraction. Apparently Lola Pants also writes like Kurt Vonnegut.

Ah Ha, I read an article in the newspaper when I was at my parent's house (they get two newspapers and I do not know which one it was in... I thought it was attributed to a  NY Times article, but I cannot locate that article on the Internet)

Anyhoo.  It seems that this site was started by a Russian born male (memory not retaining all facts) that loves American (English) literature and he began to scan large segments of books into some program that would allow provide a data base that used the length of words, sentences, amount of punctuation, etc.  and would analyze the text a person typed in to be compared to a literary giant.

He underestimated the popularity the site would generate.  He also "does not  speak the English language so good."

He is in  the process of adding more books and more female authors (so in the future if you type in something from Moby Dick you should come up with Melville.)
