Hoping someone can help with a compatibility problem I am having with my agent. And, no, I am not talking about our relationship--it's not that
kind of problem. We get along fabulously
I have a macbook pro and use Scrivener. When I compile my manuscript I save as a word document and send it to her as such. She can open it on her computer no problem. However, she prefers to read manuscripts on her iPad and it comes through as a RTF. This means she has to go through the hassle of converting the document so she can read it on her iPad. She has other clients who use Scrivener. Two do not have this problem when they send manuscripts to her and two do. She asked me to send to her as a word document and I already am.
Strangely, I have the option of saving as an RTF on Scrivener, but I never choose this option. I could save as Plain Text but then there is a warning it will get rid of my headers--not good. My email settings are not set as RTF--I know that can cause problems turning word documents into windat files when using outlook, but that is not the problem here.
Any suggestions for how I can make it easier on my end for my agent to open and read the documents on her iPad?
