(effected or affected - I changed it 3 times)
I don't know if anyone else's websites are effected today but Go Daddy is out - thousands of sites are involved. Mine included (effected or affected - I changed it 3 times)
ack...I always stumble over this one, too. Is it that affect is an action and effect is a result? Something like that? Anybody? Bueller?
But just to be fiendish, in certains specific instances, affect can be a noun and effect a verb...
In your post, it would be "affected"...and you're feeling the "effects" of it.
But "affect" can be a noun, meaning an expressed or observed emotional response (frequently used in psych assessments), and "effect" can be used as a verb, meaning to produce or bring something about.
