Anyone can attend an SCBWI event
« on: November 12, 2012, 08:05 PM »
Anyone can attend most SCBWI events, including the summer conference that is held in southern California each August. Nonmembers pay a bit more, but the difference isn't horridly steep.  Attending a local SCBWI seminar or workshop is a great way to get to meet other children's writers in your area and a good way to learn what this organization is all about.

To find an SCBWI event in your area, go to their website: www.SCBWI.org  (notice that it is org, not com).  You'll find a link to regions and their posted activities.
