An embarrassment of riches
« on: June 12, 2014, 05:41 PM »
Well, as my YA projects continue to seek a home, I've been having some significant progress on the adult book front. Soon I'll be signing my 6th contract with Annie's Fiction. I write cozy mysteries for them for several of their series.

When I think that last year I had only one decade-old nonfiction pubbed and now...I'll have three hardcover books in print by the end of this year. Three more next year. I'm so grateful for this opportunity--which a blueboarder introduced me to.  :thanks2 :flowers2 You know who you are!

It wasn't too long ago when I felt like It.Will.Never.Happen. The blueboards helped enormously, encouraging me to keep going. They helped me make the decision to leave my first agent, which was hard but the right thing to do. The support and wisdom is invaluable here.  :bunnyrun

Obligatory advice: Don't give up. Keep writing. And keep your eyes open to opportunity. There isn't only one path to publication.
Sign me amazed!  :love5:

Not enough emoticons to express the type of congratulations your success calls for. I can't imagine how excited you must be! What a great example that dedication pays off and, despite what happens over the years, never doubt what you have to offer. The universe is embracing you. Stay warm in its hug.
