I've written a nonfiction picture book biography on an important figure from ancient Greece. Any suggestions on who might publish it?

Every publisher I've researched seems to want American history. I do know that many school systems include a unit on Greek mythology and world history in the elementary grades.

I'm stumped on this one. Any suggestions?

Have you tried Bloomsbury, or another publisher not based in the U.S.? They should be less focused on American history.

:goodluck I love ancient Greek history! This history instructor is rooting for you.

Charlesbridge has such creative historical books.
Also, Learner comes to mind and Scholastic.

Charlesbridge, Holiday House, HMH, Mitchell-Lane come to mind first. But honestly, any publisher would like a well-done focused bio on an ancient Greek personality. In elem. schools they focus on Greek mythology more than history. It's only really in middle school that the kids learn more about the roots of Western Civilization. My 9th grader is taking World History.

Hope that helps and good luck!
